Step 1.
Working with your instructor, complete the listed Assessment Tasks.
Assessment Tasks:

Refrigerant Recovery — Demonstrate proper refrigerant recovery procedures and safe refrigerant handling practices.

Service Equipment — Demonstrate proper use of manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, refrigeration scales, recovery equipment, and related service tools.

Tool Proficiency — Demonstrate confidence in selecting and safely operating refrigeration service equipment.

Component Replacement — Recover refrigerant, purge the system with nitrogen, remove a component (such as a filter drier), and braze a replacement component into the system.

Brazing in Tight Spaces — Demonstrate proper brazing and soldering techniques in confined or restricted work areas.

Practice — Complete the component replacement exercise at least two times using real-world or training equipment.
